I Am Only Your Side Effect is the solo work of Young Harris, Georgia's Rollie Thomas. Here's a little bio written by the man himself:
"A simple vacation to Pawley's Island Beach in South Carolina inspired me to pick up my first guitar. It was during the summer before my sophomore year of high school. Of course, at this time I knew nothing at all about a guitar, but the late night gatherings around a beach campfire and many people to join in singing old time classics was enough fun to make me curious about learning to play. From there I started writing my own lyrics, and-- slowly learning to play--began writing my own music as well. Through the happy and rough times, my music travels on the roller coaster of life. I write songs as they hit me; how I feel at the time--its all about the mood. Anything that influences my life will become a song...or two...or three--anyway, I love what I do, so I do what I love. These songs are meaningful to me, so I hope you might be able to relate to them as well."
If you're anything like me, one listen to I Am Only Your Side Effect and you will be hooked. "Flawless Mistake," Rollie's first full-length, is done! It will be out extremely soon. Keep checking back for updates.
